Tavi Ungerleider

 

 

Cellist Tavi Ungerleider, 18, has won numerous competitions, including: New England Conservatory Concerto Competition, Harvard Musical Association High School Achievement Award; International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition of the Chamber Music Foundation of New England; National Federation of Music Clubs Award; National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts National Competition. Tavi has soloed with practically every semi-professional orchestra in Massachusetts, and has performed in Jordan Hall, Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, and innumerable additional venues across China, Brazil, France, and Venezuela. Appearing three times on the nationally broadcast radio show “From the Top,” Tavi performed in collaboration with bluegrass banjo superstar, Bela Fleck. His main influences include Debbie Thompson, Ronald Feldman, Michael Reynolds, Hans Jensen, Paul Katz, and Timothy Eddy. Tavi currently studies with Richard Aaron and is a prospective mathematics-statistics major as a freshman in the
Columbia-Juilliard exchange program.
