Miss Jessica Park, violinist has been called an "exceptional talent" by the "Frankfurter Neue Presse". In 1993, at the age of nine, she became the youngest soloist to perform with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra under the baton of then associate conductor Keith Lockhart. A native of Cincinnati, she has given many recitals in various venues, and has appeared with local orchestras such as the Wright State University Orchestra, Blue Ash Symphony, and the CCM Orchestra with guest conductor Peter Oundjian. In 1999, she performed at the gala concert of the Karl Bohm Foundation in Graz, Austria. She recorded on the ex Goodman del Gesu with the Starling Chamber Orchestra for the compact disc "The Four Seasons," and is also featured as a soloist on "Simply Brilliant" and "Aspen Serenade." An active student, she has attended the Aspen Music Festival, where she appeared with the Young Artists Orchestra and the American Academy of Conducting, and played under such renowned conductors such as James Levine, David Zinman, James Conlon, Alan Gilbert, and David Robertson as a member of the festival's orchestras. She has also attended the Music Academy of the West, the Encore Music Festival, the Great Mountains Music Festival, and the International Bowdoin Music Festival as a Performance Associate. At these institutions, she studied with such distinguished musicians as Glenn Dicterow, Joel Smirnoff, Mikhail Kopelman, Robert Lipsett, and Kathleen Winkler. She received her bachelor's and master's degree from the Juilliard School under her teachers Hyo Kang and Ronald Copes, and is currently enrolled in the Professional Studies Diploma Program at Mannes College of Music as a student of Mark Steinberg. |
